The Food for Life Program – is a nutrition education program of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). The program began in 2001 with direct service, community-based nutrition and cooking classes for cancer prevention and survival. It has now expanded to encompass diabetes treatment, nutritious eating for children and healthy weight management classes that focus on the lifesaving effects of healthful eating. It is an innovative approach to a serious medical challenge.

The goal of the Food for Life program is to empower class attendees with easy-to-implement cooking skills that turn every meal into a delicious dose of healthy nutrition and for cancer survivors to take advantage of the healing power of foods.
